Hostal GuateFriend’s Bed & Breakfast is only one minute drive from La Aurora International Airport. Transportation to and from is included in your stay with us.

GuateFriends is a perfect example of traditional Guatemalan ambiance coupled with modern style, excellent foods and unparalleled customer service. We are family owned and located in one of the safest areas of Guatemala City.

Our rooms are comfortable and welcoming. We offer four options according to your personal preferences: single, double, triple, and shared rooms. While our guest, your stay will include the comforts of home with hot water (we always have hot water!!!), personal towels & toiletries and linens changed daily and an array of amenities and toiletries .  Breakfast of your choosing is included. Exquisite Lunch, dinner, and late night snacks are also offered.

GuateFriend's hands-down, has the best organic & imported foods around and we make everything from scratch here at our B&B. (We even make our own bread and butter.) We also provide Lunch and dinner which is unheard of at most B&B's/hostels in Guatemala. Breakfast is included and is provided from 3AM - 10AM. GuateFriend's also offers cell phone rentals while you travel throughout Guatemala.

We also work only with INGUAT (Guatemala's National Tourism Bureau) approved private tour companies that will pick you up from GuateFriends B&B and bring you back when the tour ends. (Some of the tours include day excursions to the volcanoes, and the cities of Panajachel, San Pedro, La Antigua, and Chichicastenango. Tours are also available to the Mayan Ruins at Tikal, Peten, Coban, Quetzaltenango, Monterrico, Retaluleu and many other exciting destinations.)

(NOTE: ALL tourism establishments in Guatemala must add 22% tax (12% National tax and 10% INGUAT Tax. INGUAT tax is Guatemala's Tourism Tax.) The prices quoted on our site for our rooms INCLUDES the 22% tax. GuateFriend's exchange rate is (purchase) Q7.50 to $1.00USD and (sell) $1.00USD to Q7.50. A 6% fee is applied for all credit cards used.
